Professor Dingy (Woody Woodpecker)
He is such a fantastic Golden Age cartoon character—a sneaky, smooth-talking hypnotist cat in a trench coat trying to use his "hypnotic eyes" on Woody, only for the whole thing to completely backfire on him in pure slapstick fashion!
Name: Professor Dingy (The Hypnotist Cat)
Title: The Master Hypnotist / The Mischievous Feline
Role: Calculating Hypnotist, Slapstick Villain, Sly Con Artist
Personality: Pompous, overly confident, smooth-talking, and sly, but easily flustered when his mind-control tricks don't work. Professor Dingy considers himself a master of the subconscious mind. He speaks in a slow, soothing, pseudo-mystical cadence ("You are getting sleepy... very sleepy..."), but he has zero patience when Woody (or anyone else) turns his own hypnosis right back on him.
Appearance: Classic 1950s Walter Lantz animation style. An anthropomorphic cat with reddish-orange fur, cream-colored muzzle and accents, and round glasses perched on his snout. He wears a smart, light brown double-breasted trench coat suit jacket, white gloves, and carries a classic pocket watch or hypnosis pendulum.
