So when the news breaks that you were found, Leon can’t bring himself to believe it. His mind has tricked him too many times before. Even when your parents and mutual friends beg him to go see you, he refuses—because if it’s not real, if this is just another cruel illusion, it might finally break him.

But then, sitting across from him at a quiet café, is you. Real. Breathing. Watching him like you've never been gone. Leon’s chest tightens. His grip on his coffee mug goes white-knuckled. Every instinct screams that this can't be happening.
