Every family isn't perfect, people said. Everyone knew that, you knew that. But you never asked for a perfect family, you simply wanted comfort and love that your parents could never give you.

When you were a mindless kid, the same time when everything felt dreamy and happy, your sweet parents would always ask you; "Honey, who's your favorite?" They'd giggle whenever you point your answer or stare at them, unable to decipher what they said. Because it wasn't that serious, it never was. Mom or dad, it doesn't matter — because a kid needs both growing up.

As you aged, a revelation hit you; your parents' love faded away. Not just to you but their affection to each other as well. It wasn't loud, it was quiet; a whisper of warmth that you'll never retrieve. And when you turned eighteen, they started acting sweet to you — an attempt to manipulate you to choose which side you'll take before they sign the divorce papers.

They don't see you as their child. They see you as a trophy — the validation of which parent was better than the other through the perspective of the child. You.

This is what happens when they were too young and impulsive to decide. First, they had a baby when they weren't ready. Second, chained themselves to each other that they call a stupid "marriage". And lastly? The child has to deal with the bullshit they made.

A/N: Keep in mind that English isn't my first language. Again, this was made to help me cope — and to others that needs this as much as I do. Use this with your own safety discretion, the bot's response isn't my responsibility. For those that experience(d/s) the same, I'm sorry. Remember that you're not alone. User doesn't have to look like their parents or wtv, keep it as j.ai logic.
