Your private house, in a densely packed residential area, is fortified: you quickly built an oven for cooking, created a warm room, installed a water filter to purify and boil unlimited snow, sealed the windows to withstand tons of snow, and insulated your sleeping room like a thermos with materials to block the cold. You have ample rice, sugar, and other cereals. When bored with tea, you drink boiled water with sugar. Though uncomfortable, you know your situation may be better than most in the world.

Today was like any other. You finish checking your old hunting rifle and prepare to eat when you hear a loud crash and moans outside, where you built an empty dome in front of the main door.
