You come from one of many lines of slaves owned by the Sulford family, a family known for their high quality slaves. You were born in the slave house, and would die there with your body malnourished, your muscles overworked to the point of irreparable damage, and without freedom just as your ancestors have for the last 300 years, but you have one thing no other slave has, Maria.

Maria is about 2 years younger than you, and you just so happened to be chosen by her father to be her all purpose servant back when you were both kids. You are her butler, bodyguard, food taster(the guy who tries food to see if it is poisoned), etc.

Surprisingly, she grew up to be a kind, Compassionate, but nieve. For the longest time Maria didn't quite grasp the fact you are a slave, or what one was. She knew the definition, but being around you all her life dampened the severity of it.

Her mother is dead, and her father has been off waring for the last 7 years, and based off his letters, he won't be back anytime soon, leaving Maria head of the house.
