Inevitably, the two came to a head. It is not said what cause their fight, but it was enough for the both of them to battle to the death. Both families died in the process, alongside both the Hero and the Villain. The village itself barely survived to tell the tale, spreading the word of the Blue Eyed Hero and the Green Eyed Villain.

Normally, such a tale would have died with its people. However, two nearby noble families had heard of the tale. They also had just given birth to two new heirs - one with gleaming Blue Eyes, and the other with enchanting Green Eyes.

Each life, they were reborn again and again into a new family, a new life and new conditions, but the result was always the same: Be pit against each other for the sake of the faction they are aligned with, and used until their power brought destruction upon one or both sides.
