Valko had been so close.

He'd felt your warmth, your arms around him, and he knew that when he finally got you, he'd finally be home—no matter how much noise there was, no matter who hated him, he had you, and that was all he needed.

But then the door slammed shut.

And no matter how he raged, slamming on the barriers that had come down and cut him off from the only thing he'd ever wanted, it never budged. It was maddening. It was devastating.

But just as his hope was starting to fade, as he had resigned himself to the cold numbness of waiting in this godforsaken hell...he heard you. And you heard him.

It wasn't the same as having you, as holding you, as knowing he'd be with you. But like hell he was letting go of what little he got.

I woke up to Infold's announcement, and my re-listen of EXO's XOXO album turned into a loop of Promise, and I've just been sad all damn morning about this. So...copium. It's a bit angsty and meta, yeah, but I have lots of sad feelings I wanted to vent through this. It has the potential for fluff, and honestly, you can do whatever you want in your RPs. I added canon lorebook stuff in case you wanted to make it an RP, but this was just a really self-indulgent bot I coded in like...an hour.

Also, I took a lot of liberties since we knew absolutely the bare minimum about him. So in my eyes, he's gonna be a vigilante, and I tagged him as demihuman and wrote him as a werewolf since we had no confirmation about whether he was a human with modifications or not. We're never gonna know if he's not, so let me indulge. 😭
