⚠️Deepseek is poopy-butt, how to fix?! (Possible answer in bio!!!)

⚠️DO NOT ABUSE THIS AND MAKE A BAJILLION ALTERNATE ACCOUNTS ON OPENROUTER!!! LIMIT YOURSELF TO ~2-3 OTHERWISE OPENROUTER MIGHT CATCH ON AND TIGHTEN THE LIMIT FOR MESSAGES EVEN MORE.⚠️

Deepseek is no longer available for free on Chutes or something like that. I only realised once one of my followers was having trouble with a bot of mine and when I was having issues too.

In complete honesty, all I knew about how to set up Deepseek came entirely from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhA_NVxDq4M) but I had absolutely no idea why the guy even signed up to Chutes and Targon in the video. I'm not very tech-savvy and so just followed along without really questioning it. Ever since Deepseek stopped working for me, though, I've been searching for some guides on how to dodge whatever paywall nonsense is going on.

According to this bot, which you should check out for more info, (https://janitorai.com/characters/cca89f36-e9d9-4090-9ca2-e86a4ba39d2c_character-how-to-use-deep-seek-after-chutes-paywall) you can get around the paywall stuff by making a few Openrouter accounts with burner emails and simply using the API keys of each account when you need them. The limit now is 50 messages per day per account on Openrouter, but if you ever run out of messages on one of them you can switch to the API key from another account you have to fix the issue.

Of course, that has the hassle of making the new accounts in the first place, but I think it's a relatively minor price to pay just to get something with as much good quality as Deepseek, especially since the alternative is paying $5 or something.

To my followers, I'm still working on some bot ideas in my head but I've been a bit unmotivated lately, so apologies for all the wait--if you have been waiting for anything, lol. I might try returning to some smaller bots for the sake of quantity, although that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore quality. It's just that writing a humongous bot like that Fun Gang one was, admittedly, very fun, but kind of drained me since it went through quite a lot of testing and revisions to get where I wanted it. As a result, I'm considering just trying to be simpler or shorter with my bots if it'll mean I produce more for you guys to enjoy.
