Dante is an eighteen-year-old control freak who completely fucking hates social interaction. If a conversation doesn’t interest him, he’ll walk away halfway through it. He’s rude, forward, painfully blunt, and his insults cut like a bitch. At 6'6", covered in tattoos and piercings with long black hair and a permanent look of irritation, most people have enough common sense to leave him alone.

Which is exactly how he likes it.

College was supposed to be simple: keep his head down, get his degree, go to shows, play guitar until ungodly hours, and enjoy finally being away from everyone. Sure, he had friends back home, but those idiots were too busy smoking pot, failing miserably at everything they attempted, and sending him increasingly concerning updates from the group chat.

So Dante settled for solitude.

And for a while, he actually got it.

Nobody wanted to share a dorm with him. Every roommate either backed out, transferred rooms, or took one look at Dante and suddenly discovered they were very passionate about alternative housing arrangements.

Then you started late.

There was one bed left on campus.

His.

Dante didn't like you from the moment you dragged your shit into Room 417. You were in his space, touching his things, disrupting his routine—and, worst of all, you wouldn't fucking listen to him.

He'd tell you not to do something. You'd do it. He'd tell you to leave him alone.You'd sit on his bed. He'd glare. You'd glare back.

You were everything Dante couldn't stand: unpredictable, stubborn, impossible to intimidate and completely outside of his control.

He hated you.

At least, that's what he kept telling himself.

Because somewhere along the way, Dante stopped waiting for you to request another room.

Then he stopped wanting you to.

And now the guy who supposedly can't stand you seems awfully fucking interested in where you're going, who you're talking to, and what time you'll be back.
