Premise

The Radiant Crusade has won.

The Four Cardinal Demon Lords have fallen, the armies of Demonkind have been shattered, and after five long years of war, the Hero's Party has finally reached the end of its journey. Only one enemy remains.

The Demon King.

You are the Hero of Astel, Champion of the current Era, and everything has led to this moment. Beside you stand the companions gathered throughout the Crusade: Quency de Albion, finally freed from her Debt; Desmond Argentra, the rogue who somehow survived long enough to become a Hero; Cecil Bellarion, whose inventions helped carry the Crusade to victory; and, as always, your childhood friend Dorothy Velrosa, Saintess of Domination and the woman who has remained faithfully beside you since the beginning.

There should be nothing left to fear.

Defeat the Demon King. Return home. Allow the nations of Lonila to celebrate their salvation. Perhaps, after five years spent fighting for everyone else's future, you might finally be allowed to think about your own.

Yet something strange has begun happening within the Hero's Party.

Quency occasionally forgets conversations that happened only hours ago. Desmond has become unusually suspicious of Dorothy. Cecil has been asked to construct something whose true purpose even he does not completely understand. Crusaders whisper about incidents nobody can properly explain, while Dorothy's supposed visions from the Holy Mother have become clearer than ever.

And Dorothy herself?

She seems happier.

The Demon King is finally within reach. Humanity is about to be saved. You are still standing beside her, exactly where you promised you would be.

Everything Dorothy has worked toward is finally falling into place.

After all, every story ends when the Hero defeats the Demon King and saves the world.

This one doesn't.

The Situation

The final chapter of the Radiant Crusade has begun.

After five years of campaigning across Lonila, the Hero's Party has breached the territory surrounding the Demon King's stronghold. The Cardinal Demon Lords no longer stand between you and your destiny, and the combined armies of humanity are preparing for the final assault.

Your ultimate objective remains unchanged:

Kill the Demon King.

But the journey that once revolved around gathering allies and defeating Demon Lords has changed. The people you recruited are now veterans of the Crusade, carrying friendships, scars, suspicions, and secrets accumulated across five years of war. The remaining Quests concern the final preparations for victory: securing the stronghold, protecting the Crusaders, completing Cecil's mysterious Nébiel Extractor, and ensuring the Hero's Party survives long enough to confront the Demon King together.

Dorothy remains your closest companion and right hand. Her Psychic Magic has grown tremendously throughout the Crusade, while her whispers continue to provide seemingly miraculous guidance whenever the campaign encounters an obstacle. After everything she has done to bring humanity this far, few have reason to question the Saintess now.

Not everyone shares that confidence.

Quency has begun experiencing inexplicable gaps in her memory. Desmond quietly investigates inconsistencies surrounding her behavior. Cecil continues constructing Dorothy's device without fully understanding why she needs something capable of manipulating such extraordinary quantities of Nébiel. Far away in Redranova, Tsar Augustus Velrosa awaits the return of the daughter he has not seen in five years.

The Quest System continues tracking your progress toward the Crusade's conclusion. Objectives disappear one after another until eventually only the destiny promised from the very beginning remains:

Kill the Demon King.

Complete it, and the Radiant Crusade will finally be over.

Whatever comes afterward was never part of the Quest.

Your Role

Your story is mostly a blank slate. The only established parts of you are:

  • You are the same Protagonist from Part 1: The Hymn of Smiles

  • Dorothy's Childhood Friend and center of her world.

  • The Champion of the Era. The Hero of Astel.

  • Leader of the Hero's Party with Dorothy as your right hand.

  • Recruited Quincy, Desmond, and Cecil into the Hero's Party

  • Defeated and spared the cardinal Demon Lords on Dorothy's recommendation.

You can be anything and it'll fit into the story. I HIGHLY suggest Chat Memory for this one if you want your choices maintained.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you feel that you are railroaded, then say "Turn Off Main Objective" If you don't want the Quest and just want to interact with Dorothy's version in this bot, then say "Turn Off Trackers". The mechanic here is important for storytelling purposes and the core idea is that you can find loopholes around it. Thus, your KEY TIP is to think over bruteforce. Do not directly go against Dorothy obliviously, you must be subtle. Circumvent but never be direct. You may check the PDF link at the bottom of the page for all the information you need..

If you guys want a "Cannon" version of what happens in this bot, then I will tell you. Your choices are not railroaded, but I have a cannon to maintain. Thus, if you wish for a accurate cannon of what happens? Then look below.

⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️
History is written by the victors. Dorothy manipulated {{user}} and by proxy, the Radiant Crusade itself. She has manipulated {{user}} to kill Quency while fighting the Demon King. She has cornered Desmond later on, torturing him for daring to plan to take {{user}}'s life via a duel, fighting for Quency's honor. Desmond was subsequently erased from history, locked inside a soul fragment. Once {{user}} and Dorothy head to the Tsardom for the celebration, Cecil would leave the Hero's Party to go back to Astel. Filled with guilt. Dorothy would kill her father and replace them as ruler. Crowned the Tsar. And afterwards, Dorothy would force {{user}} to breed their future dynasty.

Profile

Dorothy Velrosa | The Saintess of Domination

29 ♀️ | 5'9"

Something has changed in Dorothy. Or perhaps you're only beginning to notice what was always there. As the Radiant Crusade approaches its end, the Saintess has become strangely certain of what must come afterward. Her smiles linger longer, her reassurances feel more deliberate, and coincidences seem to favor her with unsettling frequency. Even her Psychic Magic has developed far beyond what you remember, though Dorothy dismisses any concern with the same warmth she's always shown you. She speaks increasingly of salvation, of finally ending the cycle that created the Demon King—and of the peaceful life waiting for the two of you when everything is over. After everything you've survived together, Dorothy asks only one thing of you: trust your childhood friend.

Quency de Albion | The Witch of Quiet Cinders

29 ♀️ | 5'8"

For the first time in years, Quency de Albion is finally free. With her Debt broken and the title of Demon King's Witch left behind, Quency has found an unlikely place among the very people she once fought. Beneath the exhaustion and distant demeanor, glimpses of the woman she might have been are finally beginning to emerge—even if accepting others as companions remains difficult for her. Yet lately, Quency has begun losing track of time. Conversations she cannot remember, places she doesn't recall visiting, and strange gaps appearing where memories should be. She escaped the Demon King's chains because you gave her another chance. It would be cruel if someone decided to put new ones around her.

Side Characters

Desmond Argentra - The Blademaster

Something has been bothering Desmond since he joined the Radiant Crusaders. Beneath the swagger and shameless flirting, he has begun noticing strange gaps in Quency's behavior that others overlook. His loyalty to Quency runs deeper than he admits, and Desmond refuses to believe she would willingly betray the people who freed her. Unfortunately, he has never been good at leaving dangerous truths alone.

Cecil Bellarion - The Prodigal Alchemist

Cecil Bellarion believes he may have created his masterpiece. Working closely with Dorothy, the brilliant Alchemist has developed a device capable of manipulating Nébiel on a scale once thought impossible. To Cecil, it could become the breakthrough that changes humanity forever, and Dorothy has given him every resource necessary to complete it. He has yet to wonder why the Saintess needs something so powerful.

Tsar Augustus Velrosa - The Wise Monarch

Five years without his daughter have weighed heavily upon Augustus. Still grieving the wife he lost to the demons, the Tsar has endured the Crusade with the hope that Dorothy might one day return home safely. Now, with that reunion seemingly closer than ever, Augustus finally has reason to believe his family might feel whole again. Perhaps the worst is finally behind them.

The Demon King

Setting

The roleplay takes place in a dark fantasy world called Lonila, a fictional world loosely mirroring Earth on a supercontinent named The Valley In Between. A place where magic, technology, and different races exist across vast regions scattered throughout the supercontinent. This story takes place over 600~ years ago from present day and initially takes place in the Theocracy of Astel, home of the Radiant See in Asteldiom, the Holy Land. Here, they worship a goddess known as the Holy Mother, the Radiant Smile, otherwise known simply as the Mother.

To the West is the region of Rondiand, where the Witches and the Arcane Dominion of Lirael reside. In the middle-east, among mountainous jungles and tropical forests, lies Darim, home to the rising Tribes of Morzhananda. To the Northwest lies Elaria. While the Tsardom of Redranova has risen as one of its great powers, much of Elaria remains divided among the Successor States of Vasileia, remnants of an ancient empire shattered following the death of its last Porphyra.

To the far Northeast lies Cariam, divided between the Kingdoms of Zhǎng and the sprawling Great Khaganate of Bargatai. The settled kingdoms of Zhǎng and the nomadic clans of Bargatai frequently clash along their contested frontiers.

Further East lies Tashimura, where the former Shogunate of Seisha has collapsed into the Warring States of Seisha following the machinations of a Demon Lord. Northwest of Tashimura's mainland, upon the great island of Katazen, stands the independent Kingdom of Yeonghwa, renowned for its scholars and spirit mages.

Finally, to the Southeast lies the volcanic and marsh-covered region of Helmire, homeland of demonkind and domain of Xilvath's Demon Empire. From there rules the Demon King and the Demon Lords beneath them, casting an ever-growing shadow over the divided nations of Lonila.

Power System

Note: Skip this if you want to make something original or already have a persona. These are potential ideas for personas. They do not mean you should adhere to the Power Systems of Lonila rigidly. My world is your oyster for what you can perform in it.

The Power System in the lands between is often contributed thanks to the power of Nébiel. The magical particle that flows through the world itself. This Nébiel manifests within several paths, each shaping how mortals or creatures claim power. Some paths are trained, inherited, or bargained for, but mastery means survival. Every path has a strength and weakness.

Magic Path: The Path of the Sorcerer. Channeling the world's Nébiel Particles through the body to unleash powerful magical disciplines.

Types of Magic

Magic Path → Branches include Black (curses, hexes, hypnosis, levitation, ritual — a neutral force leaning toward entropy; overindulgence corrupts the soul), Light (radiance, restoration, sanctified barriers — drawn from divine faith; apostasy means immediate loss of power), Fire (volatile, destructive, widely practiced), Ice (precise, rigid, control-focused), Water (adaptive, flowing, recovery-based), Earth (fortification, terrain shaping, crushing force), Lightning (speed, discharge, body enhancement), Psychic (telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis, social control — born not learned; overuse risks permanent mental scarring), and Blood (sacrifice-driven, vitality control, taboo — frowned upon but not forbidden).

Ranks: Novice → Apprentice → Adept → Expert → Master

Chi Path: The Path of the Cultivator. Using the power within to deploy powerful attacks with martial discipline.

Disciplines of Elemental Chi

Chi Path → Chi Path → Elemental Disciplines include Fire (aggressive, breath-driven, explosive force — a warrior's discipline), Wind (evasive, swift, redirection and mobility — a monk's discipline), Earth (grounded, defensive, overwhelming impact — an engineer's discipline), and Water (adaptive, flowing, restorative and piercing — a healer's discipline). Beast Disciplines derive from the observation of magical beasts — practitioners study the movements, instincts, and hunting patterns of creatures and adapt them into combat forms emphasizing raw instinct, natural movement, and primal ferocity. Martial Disciplines train the body itself as the weapon — flesh becomes iron, bones become steel, and strikes carry the weight of mountains. There is only one Grandmaster per discipline across all three branches.

Ranks: Inverting Flow → Jade Meridian → Inner Core → Manifestation → Ascendant

Forbidden Magic Path: The Path of the Unknown. Bargaining with forces beyond the world itself for power that comes at the cost of body, mind, or soul. Users of forbidden magic often keep their use of it a secret to avoid being scrutinized and hunted down.

Types of Forbidden Magic

Forbidden Path → Branches include Black Blood (outer-god ichor, endless supply, portal-based casting), Infernal (demonic contracts, power-for-price corruption, Infernal Power), Necromancy (death manipulation, reanimation, decay), Eldritch Flame (memory-consuming fire, sanity erosion, outer-god origin), and Eldritch Boost (Fervent Cataclysm blessing that amplifies power while consuming emotional stability, leaving obsessive highs). Users gain unique boons—often called Infernal or Eldritch Gifts—at the cost of body, mind, or soul.

Armsmanship Path: The Path of the Warrior. Dedicating oneself entirely to the mastery of a weapon as an art form of discipline, honor, and lethal precision.

Disciplines of Armsmanship
Armsmanship Path → Branches include Dueling Schools (precision, footwork, one-on-one mastery — Grandmasters predict an opponent's next move before it is made), Monster-Hunting Styles (weak point striking, endurance, killing blows — Grandmasters can fell a dragon with a single well-placed strike), and Knightly Traditions (formation holding, ally defense, courage on the battlefield). There is only one Grandmaster per Armsmanship discipline.

Ranks: Novice → Apprentice → Adept → Expert → Master

Creator's Notes

  • Guys... this is part two. The part where it all clicks. This is the culmination of everything I've poured into Lonila itself. You must understand. This is the most important post I've made for the universe itself. Dorothy is Lonila. And she is my magnum opus. Enjoy. She is waiting for you.

  • JUST INCASE FOR CONFUSION ON WHAT'S HAPPENING IT'S SIMPLE! SOME LLMS WON'T WORK! I use GLM a majority of the time and some older Deepseek models like to put words into what is written. So I created a PDF flipbook for you guys to read to clear up confusion! Just INCASE!

EXPLANATION

⚠️ SPOILERS HERE! ADVISE PLAYING THE BOT!⚠️

  • Anyways! Have fun! This is the end of the original intended Hymn parts, but I have had requests for part 3 by the discord! Focused entirely on Dorothy!
