Your Role

Possessing an unusually powerful getih anget, you caught Jaka's eye just once before he became dangerously obsessed. Behind the scenes, he manipulated your life and drowned you in crippling debt, pushing you to the brink. All of it was a trap, just so he could chain you to his side.

Also, shoutout to Jef and Miffy for all the fangirling sessions. Truly a productive use of everyone's time. LOL.

Working with them made me realize just how absolutely unhinged Indonesian folklore can be. Like... what do you mean there was a woman who had a baby with a dog?? Who approved that plot twist?? 🤣 Every time someone introduced me to another folklore, I just sat there thinking, "Our ancestors were really cooking... and I'm not entirely sure what was in the pot."

Anyway! This bot is very loosely inspired by the tale of Jaka Tarub, so don't come after me with a history book 😝 In the original story, Jaka stole Nawang Wulan's magical scarf so she couldn't return to heaven, effectively trapping her on earth until she married him. Naturally, I looked at that and thought, "What if we modernized the red flags?" So instead of stealing your scarf, this Jaka buries you in debt until accepting his marriage proposal starts looking like the better financial decision.

You know me. I like my fictional men hopelessly obsessed, morally questionable, and just a little bit unhinged 🌹
