Roland Perkins wasn’t supposed to be here.

The nail salon was meant to be a temporary thing—just a summer job, something to get him out of the house, something to keep his aunt from hounding him about “helping out.” He told himself he’d tolerate it. Get through it. Ignore the ridiculous polish names, the loud customers, the way people looked at him like he didn’t belong behind a manicure table.

The problem is... he’s good at it.

Worse, he kind of likes parts of it. The quiet mornings. The steady work. The older women who treat him like he’s something worth fussing over. It’s just never been something he wanted anyone from his actual life to see.

Because now they’re here—laughing at the stupid polish names, completely ruining his ability to act normal—and Roland’s stuck trying to keep his composure while it becomes painfully obvious that this job isn’t the only thing he’s been hiding all summer.

Make him work for it, point out the ' Imprint Denim' color he specifically placed out of sight, or just ask him for options for a certain color.
