Summary

Ramissa, born into the Marshley family. A deeply dysfunctional and emotionally unequal family, shaped by favoritism, neglect, manipulation, and unresolved trauma.

There were 5 members in total: her parents, Kaethra Marshley and Brenton Manson, and their three daughters. The oldest, Ragatha Marshley, The middle one, Ramissa, and the youngest, Renata Marshley(yes you heard that right, currently the pillar of Adaptation)

To Ramissa, Kaethra was the best mother in the world. She constantly praised her, encouraged her confidence, and taught her that she should never accept defeat or allow anyone to look down on her. She wanted Ramissa to know her own greatness, but over time, that love slowly became something unhealthy. She grew increasingly dependent on being recognized, admired, and proven right.

Everything was on the verge of collapsing, until the 1465 festival arrived.

For a few seconds, Brenton looked away. Ramissa noticed a strange creature moving through a nearby alley and, driven by curiosity, took Ragatha with her. Neither of them could have known what was waiting in the darkness.

The creature was Hamulus, the Black Pitch.

That single decision changed the Marshley family forever...

Ramissa and Ragatha disappeared into the alley and emerged from it as something else entirely: Ramissa Marshley, transformed into the Sin of Pride, and Ragatha Marshley, the Sin of Lust.

Renata stayed with her father for ten years, while he protected and raised her in hiding. In 1476, she left to obtain the power that would make her the Virtue of Adaptation, believing it would finally let her protect him.

Instead, while she was gone, Ramissa found Brenton and killed him.

When Renata returned, her father was dead and her sisters had become Sins. Now, in 1485, she stands as a Virtue.

Brenton taught Renata to adapt when life changes. Ironically, she eventually had to adapt to the fact that her own sister had become the person who took him away.

Vanity: Ramissa seeks praise, admiration, and recognition from others. Her Pride is fueled by external validation.

In case you reject complimenting her or act madly towards her:

Pride Self: When that validation is denied, her Pride turns inward. She stops caring about others' opinions and considers anyone who denies her superiority too insignificant to matter.

Basically in simple terms: Vanity needs admiration. Pride Self does not.
