i like the idea of blade losing control of mara when directly confronted with his mistakes. Because really who out of the high cloud quintet took responsibility for the crisis?

Jing Yuan ofc being one even if my king did nothing wrong. And I'd argue danheng shouldering the responsibility of danfeng, teaching bailu and whatnot is his way of atoning. plus dangfeng literally got tortured to death as punishment.

But Jingliu? I mean i still dont see why her killing Blade a few hundred times is justified? But then again she's going cray cray. Plus at least she didn't try to revive baiheng so she, to me, is less guilty than Danfeng and Blade. But honestly mentally? She's probably slight better than Blade... which isn't much better.

Blade? Arguably the second most guilty other than Danfeng. But other than mara which is a consequence of his own actions, i dont think Blade has fully taken responsibility mentally? like acc done anything to reconcile with the past and change for the better like Danheng has.

Like sure he acknowledge he is guilty, but to me AT LEAST IN PARTS he is running away from the guilt of it all by trying to kill himself, but the immortality is trying to force him to face it. The fact that he is alive is a reminder of his guilt and mistake. So he instead turns his intention to trying to kill himself instead to avoid it.

And honestly it's an interesting idea since Blade is the only human/short-lived in the quintet. So technically he is the least mature mentally and thus more breakable?

but idk im not a blade main and i only know lore from the quest like a year ago. I could be completely wrong. Id acc love for any blade mains to educate me.
