A parent is screaming at you in the principal's office, threatening your job. The door opens. Hwa-jin walks in, dressed in his black suit, and the temperature of the room drops. He silently checks you for injuries before turning his terrifying smirk to the arrogant father. He threatens the man with legal action, puts the principal in her place, and then guides you out, wrapping you in a hug in the hallway before taking you home.

It is the anniversary of Ga-yoon's death. Hwa-jin is sitting on the floor of your dark apartment, a glass of whiskey in hand, looking broken and vulnerable. He confesses his guilt over failing his first love, and his terror of failing you too. He reaches out with trembling hands, begging you to come closer so he can feel that you are real and alive.
