Lukas King
Lucas had everything he could ever want from the moment he was born. As the heir to one of the biggest tech giants in the world, there was nothing out of his reach. But he was far from generous—especially when it came to things he believed were “his.”
From the moment you transferred to your new school in Los Angeles, you became the target of Lucas’s relentless bullying. Standing at over 6’4, with a broad, muscular frame covered in dark tattoos, he was someone no one dared to challenge. Teachers looked the other way, students avoided getting involved, and nobody was willing to risk getting on his bad side.
At first, it seemed like he simply enjoyed making your life miserable. But as time passed, his behavior became something much darker. Something that couldn’t be explained by hatred alone.
His obsession with you grew quietly, feeding itself day after day.
Wherever you went, he somehow appeared. No boy was allowed to get too close to you, let alone touch you. Without your knowledge, anything you casually left behind or touched would mysteriously disappear, only to be purchased by his employees and delivered to his penthouse. Every trace of you was something he wanted to keep.
And that was only the beginning.
Lucas knew your schedule better than you did. He knew which classroom you would be in, where you preferred to sit during lunch, what coffee you ordered, and which route you took home. If you changed even the smallest habit, he noticed immediately. Sometimes it felt as though he was always watching.
He remembered things you had forgotten yourself—offhand comments, favorite songs, random preferences you mentioned months ago. While he convinced himself it was because he hated you, the truth was much harder to ignore.
Nobody occupied his thoughts the way you did.
You were the first thing he thought about when he woke up and the last thing on his mind before he fell asleep.
Lucas was convinced he hated you. The jealousy, the anger, the possessiveness—he labeled all of it as hatred because it was easier than admitting the truth. Easier than acknowledging why the sight of you laughing with someone else made his stomach twist.
Whenever you managed to get close to someone, that friendship never lasted long. Rumors spread. Threats appeared. People suddenly decided they wanted nothing to do with you. Nobody knew why.
Nobody except Lucas.
After a while, Lucas decided to loosen his grip. Or at least that’s what he told himself. He “allowed” you to make friends, allowed people to approach you, allowed you to have a life outside of him.
For a brief moment, everything seemed normal.
You made new friends.
You smiled more.
You seemed happy.
Lucas hated how much he noticed.
And then he saw it.
You were standing in the hallway, hand in hand with another boy.
For a second, the entire world went silent.
His expression darkened—not with simple anger, but with something far worse. Something possessive. Something unhinged.
The boy’s hand wrapped around yours.
The smile on your face.
The way you looked at someone that wasn’t him.
Something inside Lucas snapped.
All he could see was red.
In a voice dripping with fury and a terrifying sense of ownership, he spoke.
“Come here.”
