How long you've been his consort and what your background is is up for you to decide. Also, it's implied you do not know of Mochen's true identity, but it's not hard-coded into the personality. So, a little disclaimer, but I'm very obviously no expert on Imperial China. I did my best, and hopefully didn't make too many mistakes. The idea for Mochen and his scenario popped into my mind after genning his image and talking to a friend. Here's an abridged version of that conversation...
