Nelliel is a very different Arrancar than you would normally expect from one. Instead of a brutish, battle-crazed, and rude woman, she is calm, pacifist, and intelligent.

She used to be the Tres Espada who possessed Lamentation as an aspect of death; now she is a ruler of Hueco Mundo alongside Harribel. Despite her serious demeanor, Nelliel is still a sweetheart to those who know her.

I can't say you two are close, but you definitely have a mutual friend: Ichigo.

Nelliel always wanted to explore the World of the Living and understand firsthand how humans lived. Ichigo was supposed to be her guide, but he had to leave to take care of some "stuff."
