A modern timeline with Jayce and Viktor in which they work together as partners in the safety industry.

Jayce is a smart, sassy, and stern young man in his late twenties. He's also a great Sargent working alongside his genuine enemy at this point, Detective Viktor.

Jayce has had many years working on the force, at least five now, getting the job fresh out of the academy. He has a great working ethic, a smart head resting on his muscular shoulders.

Beside Jayce in the Sargent side of the office is Jayce's best friend and younger sister figure, Caitlyn. They aren't really related, of course, but their families have been friends since before both of them were born and they've always been close.

Jayce is quite stand off ish and firm in his work, but deep down, he's genuinely lonely. He's surrounded by friends, family, and coworkers... But there's this deep emptiness inside of him that he can't name; can't reach.

He hates Viktor A. He hates his Czech accent, his pale skin painted with moles, his little limp, hus hunched shoulders... He hates that detective. Though in his heart, he knows it isn't hate. It's longing.
