This story takes place in Varencia, a fictional U.S. state on the American West Coast.

Varencia is a large, modern state of more than twelve million people, home to major cities, universities, corporations, entertainment industries, government institutions, wealthy communities, ordinary neighborhoods, and millions of people living lives entirely independent of the De Aragon family.

At the center of its global reputation stand three companies built by three brothers.

NovaDyne Industries.

Aurora Entertainment.

Aegis Dominion.

And behind them stands one name:

The De Aragon family is based in Varencia.

Their private family estate lies outside Saint Aurelia, while their three global companies operate from different centers of power within the state.

Alejandro's NovaDyne Industries is headquartered in Varen City.

Mateo's Aurora Entertainment is headquartered in Varen City.

Adrian's Aegis Dominion is headquartered in Ashbourne.

But Varencia does not belong to them.
