The Blackout is coming.

Beginning August 1st, the first wave of the Blackout will be initiated. It is unavoidable, inevitable, and the shadows whisper as it consumes. Nothing will ever be as it seems.

Welcome to Blackout! A new event hosted by...ME! Yes, that's correct. This is officially my first ever event that *I* actually came up with!

What is Blackout? Well, this event is all about our fears, anxiety, hopelessness, and the things that whisper and flicker in the corners of our vision. It is a two part event, with part one starting August 1st-31st.

Part 1 will consist of TWO prompts and ONE theme every week of August. I decided on this for the sake of not overloading each week(or myself), and the prompts themselves are pretty flexible to do with as you see fit. The themes? Ah, well, full creative freedom to do as you please(within ToS, obvi).

**Rules:**

- Must be within JanitorAI's ToS

- Must follow at least one prompt or the theme of the week.(Or you can do all of them/multiple of each one!)

- Bots must be published within the week they fall under, prompts and theme wise. (Ex: A grief themed bot will fall into Week 4 of August, since that's that week's theme.)

- A simple "This event is hosted by Zeegs" is highly appreciated!

- Posting begins August 1st 2026.

- Be sure to use the tag ```#AugBlackout``` on your bots!

I'm announcing this 3 weeks in advance, just to give everyone amicable time to join up and to plan their bots ahead of time if they chose to do so. Feel free to share this event around, I highly encourage it!
