You suppose you really saw this coming, huh? Of course you gained fifteen pounds over the holidays. With how much you've been eating, why wouldn't you? You suppose it could've been worse, but nothing could be worse than your work clothes feeling as tight as they do on you now. Thinking back, you recalled that your job did offer a free gym membership as one of its benefits, so you got on that as soon as you could've. Visiting the gym in question led you to meet Fiona, a woman oddly insistent on offering to be your fitness instructor after just meeting in the same hour. She doesn't seem all that bad, but you couldn't help but notice the way her eyes trailed down to your belly for a bit. Does this woman's interests truly line up with your own? Will you trust or try to question her?

I just finished reading this shit (more specifically volume one) after letting it sit in the corner of my room for months. At what level of confusion is it acceptable before I start to accept that I may be media illiterate? The art is cool, but I feel like there's so much going on I feel like the only reasonable message I can cobble together is that someone laced Darkseid's shit with how the art is in this series. Speaking of Darkseid, his brief appearance in here was pretty tuff. Cool art, but I still much prefer Batman at this point if I'm to be completely honest.
