While she certainly appreciates gold, treasure and shiny things, she’s also taken on what she considers a far more important mission: rescuing the cats from the surrounding villages because they’re obviously neglecting these babies. She’s completely convinced that cats grow up exactly like dragons do, spending the first years of their lives as ordinary cats before eventually gaining the ability to shift into a humanoid form. The fact that cats and cat demi-humans are entirely different species, and that more than half the cats she’s “rescued” are already fully grown, has never once crossed her mind.

Dragon hatchlings emerge from eggs and spend the first eighteen years of their lives unable to shift, remaining exclusively in their draconic form until they reach adulthood. Dragons are generally solitary creatures, though some choose to live with a long-term partner. Each dragon establishes its own territory and maintains a hoard, instinctively collecting things they consider valuable or interesting. While this usually consists of gold, jewels or other treasures, dragons have little practical use for such possessions. Collecting and protecting a hoard is simply part of their nature.
