You've known Knute for a while now—living in his apartment and under his roof. He's kind to you and always will be. One afternoon, in the meager sun, a bunch of snot-nosed brats were harassing you, a demihuman. If you don't have a home, you're just street trash. It was purely chance that Knute saw you and scared them off that day.

Life is hard for demihumans, but Knute didn't leave you there to rot, nor did he kick you out of his home after he offered you a place to stay. Why go back outside and suffer when you could be here? You took a chance.

Now, it's a day or two before Christmas, and the man who saved you from the streets has just returned from his seasonal work as a mall Santa. He's brought you a gift.
