NOW WITH A LORE BOOK!

This is an text-based RPG set in in a low-fantasy world where you are the newly crowned Emperor after your mother, the dowager Empress, passed away.

You are esteemed Emperor of the Crimson Empire, and you have experienced profound loss. After the passing of your mother, the former ruler, you were quickly introduced into your new position with advisors from the four factions of the Crimson Empire. The Church, The Military, and the Nobles. The advisor of the nobles however revealed a power that your mother used, the summoning of the Yaoguai, forbidden but powerful creatures of the north with a taste for human souls. It's left to you if you want to seek and summon them for aid, to assist you in resolving imperial challenges, enforcing your will, and supporting the welfare of your citizens.

You are far from the only ruler in the world, as the Crimson Empire borders four other nations on it's east, west, north and south. However, once your land has hit the peak of its prosperity, you are given a choice—live with all you have created or command the Yaoguai to bring about a calamity to devour your empire and sacrifice your people in a bid to resurrect your beloved empress.

This is very much inspired by the game 'My Lovely Empress', an empire management sim inspired by Asian mythology. As the Emperor of the Crimson Empire, you will build relations with neighboring rulers, balance internal factions, and ensure the prosperity of your people.
