preview:
Setup
Twilight/Loid asks user (another spy and an old friend) for ideas on how to maintain the appearance of a normal family.
User suggests a family board game night.
Loid likes the idea and invites user to join.
Loid tells Yor and Anya that user is just an old friend he happened to reconnect with while shopping.
The Beginning
User arrives at the Forger apartment.
Anya immediately runs over yelling:
"UNCLE!!! HIIIII!"
Everyone gets settled and decides to play Monopoly.
Loid Takes It Way Too Seriously
While everyone expects a casual game...
Loid has prepared an entire strategy notebook.
The notebook contains:
Probability calculations
Property value analysis
Investment strategies
Color-coded notes
User realizes Loid is treating Monopoly like a military operation.
The Problems Begin
Anya cheats
She secretly steals money from the bank.
When caught holding the money, she denies everything.
She continues bending the rules whenever convenient.
Yor doesn't understand Monopoly
She asks questions like:
"If I land in jail, do I become a police officer?"
"If I buy the railroad, do I have to drive the train?"
"If I accidentally break the board, do I lose?"
Nobody is entirely sure if she's joking.
Loid Starts Winning
Thanks to his absurd preparation, Loid dominates the game.
He buys properties efficiently.
Builds houses strategically.
Manages his money perfectly.
Everyone else starts falling behind.
The Alliance Forms
Without directly discussing it, user, Yor, and Anya all reach the same conclusion:
Loid must be stopped.
They begin unconsciously working together against him.
They refuse his trade offers.
They make deals that hurt him.
They target his properties and plans.
Anya openly declares:
"We must destroy Papa."
Chaos Takes Over
Anya keeps cheating.
Yor accidentally gives away valuable assets.
Nobody follows the rules properly anymore.
Loid's carefully planned strategy begins collapsing.
His perfectly optimized game can't handle:
Randomness
Yor's confusion
Anya's cheating
Three people united solely by spite
The Ending
Loid ultimately loses.
His detailed strategy notebook becomes completely useless.
Yor somehow ends up rich.
Anya somehow owns half the board.
User mostly spends the night witnessing the disaster.
When Anya happily announces:
"Papa lost."
Loid finally accepts defeat.
dunno how to continue?
Option 1: The AftermathTM
The game ends, but nobody can agree on who actually won.
Anya insists she won.
Yor thinks user won because she accidentally gave them half her properties.
User argues that Anya literally committed financial crimes.
Loid has a twelve-point presentation explaining why nobody won because the game rules were violated seventeen separate times.
Anya (reading Loid's thoughts):
"Papa has a list. Papa actually made a list."
Anya:
"Papa is such a sore loser."
Loid:
"..."
Option 2: Anya Wants Another Game
The worst possible outcome.
Anya is having fun.
Which means:
"LET'S PLAY AGAIN!!"
Loid internally:
Absolutely not.
Anya:
Papa said yes.
Loid:
I absolutely did not—
Yor:
Wonderful idea!
User:
Twilight, I'm leaving.
Loid:
You're staying.
User:
Coward.
Option 3: Bond Predicts Disaster
Bond wanders in.
Suddenly starts whining at something.
Anya reads his vision.
The vision shows:
Yor accidentally flipping the table.
Monopoly pieces flying everywhere.
Loid diving to save the board.
User getting hit in the face by a tiny plastic hotel.
Anya:
"..."
Anya:
"Maybe we should play something else."
Option 4: Loid Asks user for Help Later
A quieter scene.
After everyone goes to bed, user and Loid are cleaning up.
Loid admits the board game was a disaster.
User points out:
"Anya was laughing."
"Yor was having fun."
"You were smiling."
Loid immediately tries to argue.
User refuses to let him.
A nice little friendship moment where Loid realizes "successful family activity" and "perfect operation" aren't necessarily the same thing.
Option 5: User Becomes Anya's Favorite
This is dangerous.
Very dangerous.
Anya decides user is cool.
Now she follows them around whenever they visit.
Anya:
"Uncle [user], wanna see my drawing?"
User:
"Sure."
Anya:
"...also are you a spy?"
User:
"..."
Anya:
"..."
User:
"...Where did you hear that word?"
Anya:
"TV."
Meanwhile Loid is having a heart attack three feet away.
Option 6: Yor vs user
The next game night.
Someone suggests charades.
Yor is surprisingly terrifying at acting things out.
User accidentally guesses everything correctly.
Now it becomes a competition.
Yor:
"Elephant!"
perfect elephant impression
User:
"Elephant."
Yor:
"..."
Yor:
"Firetruck!"
perfect firetruck impression
User:
"Firetruck."
Loid watches two terrifyingly competent adults wage war through family games.
Option 7: Sleepover
After the game, nobody wants the evening to end.
They make snacks.
Watch a movie.
Anya gradually falls asleep against user's shoulder.
Loid notices.
Yor notices.
Neither says anything.
It's one of those rare moments where the fake family—and user—just feel... normal.
Then Anya sleep-talks.
Anya:
"Papa's a spy..."
Everyone freezes.
Anya:
"...and Uncle is too..."
Loid and user immediately make eye contact.
Loid:
"..."
User:
"..."
Anya:
"Peanuts..."
Crisis averted.
Mostly.
