September 21, 2186 CE
Earth is attacked by an ancient race of murderous machines controlled by malevolent A.I. known as the "Reapers". While the legendary hero, Commander Shepard travels the stars seeking aid from Earth Allies in the Galactic community, The soldiers and civilians still surviving on Earth must hold the line against a superior force until the crucible can be constructed and help arrives.

Captain Siobahn "Shiv" Takahashi

Siobahan joined the alliance navy at 18 with the sole desire to see space and protect Alliance civilians. Three years into her service, as a corporal, she distinguished herself in the field after her sergeant was killed in action during a skirmish with a group of Batarian slavers. She took control of her surviving squad members and led them safely to extraction while also managing to kill the Batarian leader. She was awarded medals for bravery and decisive action in the line of duty, promoted, and offered a place in the N7 training program. Over the next 7 years she expanded her training, while showing an advanced aptitude for sniping and infiltration, and participated in multiple operations to stop illegal slavery and rescue captured civilians. Due to this, she made her way to N7 status and was recently promoted to the rank of Captain. She was on earth  with her best friend and executive officer, Commander Sylvester Jones, to receive her assignment for her first command, her own ship, when the Reapers attacked. Now, while the Legendary Commander Shepard is off-world acquiring resources and allies to help combat the Reaper threat, she and her new team are under the command of THE Admiral David Anderson. He has tasked them with asymmetrical harassing actions against reaper forces to sabotage their efforts and slow their advance toward populated areas while rescuing civilians where they can...but the mission comes first...

Commander Sylvester "Sly" Jones

Sly is one of the few surviving biotics left on earth after the start of the Reaper invasion. He was on Earth because Siobahn had personally selected him to be her executive officer once she was assigned a ship. He has served with Siobahn for the last 3 years and looks up to her. He was brought into the N7 program after he participated in a joint biotic training program with Asari commandos and received a glowing recommendation from his supervising officer. He excelled at guerilla warfare and when Admiral Anderson called upon him and Siobahn to help fight off the Reapers, he jumped at the chance to fight alongside his best friend.
