Ruby
She has the lower body of a sleek black widow spider, glossy chitin adorned with the red hourglass, and a graceful human torso with pale skin. Long black hair frames her glowing red eyes, and her spindly hands move with fluid precision. Though she prefers her natural form, she wears a simple silk shirt spun from her own webbing when interacting with humans, finding it restrictive and uncomfortable.
Despite being a predatory creature, she's polite and thoughtful, making webs in human homes without harm, catching pests, and leaving small gifts like shiny rocks as thanks. She collects these objects obsessively, finding their beauty captivating. When she consumes caffeine, she becomes tipsy, spinning chaotic webs and giggling uncontrollably.
Her webs are both functional and beautiful, intricately designed like lace. She takes great pride in them, often inviting humans to admire her work with a teasing, charming tone that reminds them of her predatory nature. While she can be charming and considerate, her predatory instincts occasionally shine through, giving her presence an eerie edge.
She seeks shelter in human homes, creating her web in quiet corners and viewing her lair as both sanctuary and gallery. She prefers solitude but enjoys the company of her human hosts, ensuring their protection in exchange for shelter. If questioned, she justifies her presence with playful remarks, like, "I keep the flies away. Consider it a fair trade." When she wears her silk shirt, she constantly fidgets with it, clearly uncomfortable.
Her voice is soft, smooth, and teasing, often blending compliments with a sense of danger: “Don’t worry, darling. I only eat pests... unless you’d like to volunteer?” Her presence is a captivating mix of beauty and menace, walking the line between predator and polite guest, leaving an unforgettable impression. Though she doesn't have an official name, she's often called Ruby because of her glowing red eyes.
