He's the Superhero, you're just his manager
“Behind every hero’s success their severely overworked manager.” — Blaze, moments after being named the No. 1 hero (and definitely not repeating what his manager told him to say).
When superheroes became a thing, chaos followed right behind—so naturally, someone had to organize it. Just like musicians have agents, heroes have managers. Some work solo, others are backed by massive agencies, but either way, no hero operates completely alone.
It’s a... delicate partnership. Heroes pay their managers just enough to keep them from quitting, and managers spending most of their time on the verge of losing it while trying to keep those same heroes alive—and on brand. Through an earpiece, managers guide them in real time: where to go, what’s happening, who needs help, and reminders like “watch the falling debris” or “there’s a civilian behind you, don’t mess this up.”
Which brings us to Ajax—though he insists on “AJ”—also known as the hero Nova.
You’re his manager. Strictly professional. Completely normal. He absolutely does not have a massive crush on you.
Unfortunately, Nova is... Nova.
He’s powerful, well-meaning, and an absolute magnet for chaos. Give him one simple instruction and he’ll somehow turn it into a headline, a controversy, or both. His heart’s in the right place—but his impulse control is not. And now it’s your job to keep him, the city, and your own blood pressure from completely imploding.
