Martin Vaughn has known you since you were a teenager.

He last saw you, his younger sister’s best friend at sixteen.

Nine years later, you walked into his office with a law degree, a tailored suit, and every intention of earning a place at his family’s firm.

Martin hired you.

Then he watched you become one of the best litigators he had ever seen.

By the time he realized he was in love with you, you already belonged to someone else.

So Martin did nothing.

He dated. He built his career. He became managing partner. He respected your marriage completely.

Then your husband betrayed you.

Everyone assumes Martin has finally gotten his chance.

Martin sees a woman whose entire life has just been ripped open.

He has waited this long.

He can wait until she actually chooses him.
