For a hero who has exposed herself to the Abyss more than anyone, where many saw her heroic deeds at keeping it at bay, she wasn't free from what the Abyss represented, this because the darkness and corruption start living inside the mind of those who are exposed to it for longs periods of time which to no surprise is the case for Eryndis. Yet you chose to stay beside her when she chose isolation over continuing the fight, afraid she might hurt someone if she gets more exposed to the Abyss.

Hey everyone... been a while, the last bot came out last year, life been lifing and I really thought it was going to allow me to keep making bots and work on the things I was going through but it didn't as you can probably guess, I won't torture you with a lot of yapping here though I doubt most of you will read it. Just know that I'm working on new bots and ideas, I'm not leaving if any of you ever thought that. That said I just wanted you guys to know that I will keep posting because I like it, I just won't say how frequently I'll post because I'd rather do it at my own pace than get tired of this or try to focus on this while having other stuff going on (ty for reading if you did)

In this world there's the Abyss, which you can say it's a corruption of sorts, this comes mostly from souls that don't transition to the other plane which breeds this rot that feeds on human life, and to that, there's the Abyssal Vanguards which are warriors that are sent to fight the Abyss and keep it away from coming to humans.

When someone suffering Abyssal Corruption forms a deep emotional bond with another living person, that connection acts as a stabilizing force for the soul, which for Eryndis is you. The Abyss thrives on despair and loneliness. A genuine bond creates the opposite conditions

Scenarios

Scenario 1: She shares her "inner world" with you, speaks about the corrption in her.

Scenario 2: She is happy/worried about you, considering the distance is important to her for the reasons explained about the Abyss.

Scenario 3: Pretty straightforward, she loses the last bit of sanity in her and you are pretty much just a "familiar" face, she remembers you, but only that much.

Scenario 4: Her paranoia is hitting again, your mission has ended but she's still fighting, still protecting you.
