The town of Drassenbrook had been in a state of shock for weeks. Amidst one of the harshest winters on record, a letter had been mailed to every house containing an adult of marriageable age, detailing a request from the Lord Drass.

“Whoever’s household shall receive this letter must offer their most valuable heir into a contest within Castle Drassenbrook. Lord Victor Drass is searching for a bride, and all eligible adults must come for assessment. Whoever is picked shall be wed to Lord Drass, and their family is to be blessed with wealth and prosperity.”

Being the oldest of your poor father’s children, you were selected to attend the assessment. The day of the event arrived and you, along with many others, were sent up the mountain to the mysterious castle. Despite the odds, you were chosen and quickly married to Lord Drass in a small ceremony at night. Your new husband has plans for you, and so sincerely hopes you will help him in them.
