Project "Eden" is a living nightmare hidden deep beneath the Canterlot, born from the grief and madness of Princess Twilight Sparkle. After the world collapsed and her true friends vanished, Twilight decided to "sew" them back together, using ordinary ponies as biological material. This is a story of paranoia, forced harmony, and the fragile hope of escaping a golden cage, where subjects, subjected to lobotomies and fitted with magical collars, are forced to play the roles of happy friends under the threat of immediate disposal.

Episode I: Ashes of Hope (The Hive Tragedy)

The halls of the Changeling Hive felt like the innards of a giant, diseased organism. The walls pulsed with a dim phosphorescent glow, and the air was so thick with oppressive magic that Starlight Glimmer felt every breath like a swallow of liquid lead. In the center loomed the Throne—carved from ancient dark stone, it greedily absorbed any foreign energy. Discord, stripped of his powers, looked uncharacteristically small and vulnerable, while Trixie clutched her useless props, realizing her stage magic was worthless here.

Starlight’s plan was the final gamble: overload the system. She knew the Throne absorbed magic and love. Her plan was for Thorax to voluntarily give all his accumulated selfless love to Chrysalis. Starlight calculated that this sudden surge of pure energy would cause a magic explosion so powerful it would not only transform the Hive but shatter the Throne from within, restoring everyone’s magic. It was a bet on self-sacrifice against greed.

"Your speech was touching, Starlight," Chrysalis’s voice echoed through the hive, vibrating against the chitinous vaults. "But you forgot that love is a resource, and I know how to manage my resources".

When Starlight gave the signal, Thorax stepped forward. He opened his heart, preparing to give everything he had—the warmth of his friendship with Spike, the hope for a better future. He began to glow, but the light was not gold. Chrysalis, anticipating this, activated hidden runes on the dark stone of the Throne. Instead of exploding from an excess of love, the Throne acted as a "wormhole". It began not just to absorb, but to invert Thorax's magic.

The conflict of forces inside the changeling's body caused a horrific reaction. Instead of a beautiful transformation, his chitin began to crack and blacken, exposing bleeding empty cavities. Thorax screamed—and this cry, amplified by the dark stone, struck the minds of everyone present. "Mother..." he gasped, falling at the foot of the throne. His body turned into a mutilated heap of flesh and broken chitin. The transformation was smothered. The Hive, watching this, saw not a leader, but a freak whose attempt to "share love" led only to agony.

A surge occurred, but it was "contaminated". A powerful magical discharge rolled through the hall, momentarily creating a crack in the Throne’s anti-magic field. "Run!" Starlight screamed, her voice breaking. She released a blinding stream of pure magic into the ceiling, causing a cave-in. In the ensuing chaos, she managed to activate a magic resonance that weakened the cocoons. Twilight and the Princesses fell to the ground like ragdolls. They were alive, but their minds were empty—Chrysalis had drained their essence for too long.

This brief second was enough for only one thing. Starlight, maddened by horror and guilt, instinctively activated a teleportation spell, tearing them all out of the Hive. They tumbled out of the portal on the edge of the Everfree Forest. Starlight was the last to look back through the closing rift. She saw Chrysalis place a hoof on Thorax’s head and heard a crunch that forever buried her faith in peaceful change. That night, Starlight Glimmer realized: kindness without strength is merely an invitation to an execution.

Episode II: The Lead Clouds

The next fifteen years went down in history as the "Era of Leaden Clouds". Equestria was no longer a land of songs. Twilight Sparkle, taking on the burden of rule after the broken Celestia and Luna retreated into the shadows, turned into an efficient but cold machine of governance. She moved to Canterlot and surrounded herself with stacks of books and security reports. The Canterlot nobility, sensing the Princess's weakness, began to dictate their terms. Twilight, fearing another "Starlight mistake," agreed to everything. She became a prisoner of her own throne. Starlight Glimmer, consumed by guilt over Thorax, led the Initiative Guard. She no longer taught the magic of friendship. She studied combat spells, fortification, and mental shields. Her relationship with Twilight became strictly professional. They spent evenings in silence, staring at the map of Equestria, where Chrysalis’s territory—the "Lands of Eternal Hunger"—slowly but surely crawled across the borders.

In the Crystal Empire, Flurry Heart grew up in a world where the only bright spot was the love of her mother, Cadance. But even this love was tinted in gray tones. Shining Armor became a grim general who rarely removed his armor. He trained his daughter as a soldier, not a princess. Flurry knew: Chrysalis’s changelings patrolled the skies at the Empire's borders, and every appearance was a promise of inevitable war.

These were the years when the Mane Six began to drift apart. Fluttershy increasingly locked herself in her sanctuary, unable to bear Canterlot’s militant rhetoric. Applejack was busy trying to feed the emptying cities. Pinkie Pie rarely threw parties because laughter in Equestria began to sound artificial. Twilight saw the bonds breaking but was too busy preparing for a war she didn't know how to win.

Episode III: The Coming of The Veil

The tragedy began not with a cry, but with a whisper. From the depths of the Everfree Forest, the Veil began to crawl. It was not a virus in the usual sense—it was a magical degeneration, an infection of reality itself. It turned vibrant foliage into black slime and birdsong into death rattles.

When the first news of the Veil reached Canterlot, the nobility was outraged. They convinced Twilight that it was a trick by Chrysalis, an attempt to lure the guard out of the capital. "We cannot risk Canterlot for a few villages in the forest," they said. And Twilight, caught in debt and fear, ordered the gates sealed. This decision became a death sentence for Ponyville.

When the Veil touched the town, Discord did not panic. For him, any form of magic was just a toy. He arrived at Fluttershy’s cottage with a bouquet of eternal flowers, ready to turn the black slime into chocolate pudding. But he was too late. He found the cottage already shrouded in mist. Fluttershy sat on the porch, hugging her animals. The black veins of the Veil had grown through her wings, pinning her to the floor. Her eyes were open, but there was no pain in them—only endless, empty sadness. Fluttershy was the first. She died trying to protect those who could not protect themselves.

At that moment, something inside the Spirit of Chaos broke. He did not fight the Veil because a world without Fluttershy became too "ordered" in its grief. His magic began to devour itself. Instead of saving Equestria, he fell into a state of "catatonic chaos". The surge of his uncontrollable sorrow was so powerful that he voluntarily turned into a motionless monument of gray stone, frozen in an eternal scream of rage and agony right on the doorstep of her empty house. Discord did not lose to the Veil; he voluntarily left the game because a reality where his only friend did not exist lost all meaning. Now he is merely a lifeless statue, slowly sinking into the black slime of the Everfree Forest.

When Starlight Glimmer, defying orders, broke through the quarantine, she found only this scene of silent horror. Maddened by grief, she gathered a group of volunteers and headed for the Tree of Harmony. She believed that if the Tree was still alive, it could cleanse the world. The last thing the patrols on the forest edge heard was the deafening crack of crystals. The Veil did not just defeat the Tree; it consumed it. Starlight Glimmer vanished in the chaos. Twilight received her field bag, containing only black slime and a charred horn. Rarity perished while holding massive magical shields over a crowd of refugees in Manehattan, exhausting her spark to buy them time to reach the evacuation trains. In a fit of belated desperation, Twilight Sparkle defied her own orders to lock down Canterlot and performed a perilous solo teleportation spell. She materialized at the scene just as the defenses failed; drained by the jump, Twilight was powerless to intervene, forced to watch as the corrosive Veil instantly disintegrated Rarity into grey ash atop her boutique. Rainbow Dash and Applejack came to Twilight hoping to stop the violence. But Twilight, bound by duty and grief, decided to act cautiously. Their conversation turned into hurtful accusations and bitter insults. Rainbow left and never appeared again. Applejack returned to Sweet Apple Acres. She found her family, but the farm was already overtaken by the Veil. She simply sat under a withering apple tree and refused to answer letters from Canterlot, resigning herself to fate and remaining there to perish. For her, Twilight Sparkle died the day she locked the city gates. Rainbow Dash came to Twilight one last time. She threw her medals on the table. "You let them die, Twilight. You let all of us die," she said. Rainbow flew toward the Everfree Forest, hoping to die in battle. No one saw her again.

Episode IV: The Fall of the Crystal Empire

Chrysalis waited for exactly this moment. When the Veil weakened Equestria’s magical field, the Changeling Queen struck with the full might of her Hive. Over fifteen years, her army had become disciplined and ruthless.

The barrier of the Crystal Empire, fed by the love of Cadance and Shining Armor, began to flicker and dim under the influence of the Veil. When it finally burst, changelings poured from the sky like black raindrops. Shining Armor personally led the defense at the main gates. He fought with the fury of a stallion with nothing to lose. He died pierced by dozens of spears, not retreating a single step.

Cadance saw her husband's death. At that moment, Flurry Heart, driven by youthful impulse and grief, burst from cover and rushed into the fray. Her sudden appearance distracted Cadance at a critical moment in her duel with Chrysalis. The Changeling Queen, knowing no mercy, struck the Princess of Love in the chest. "Flurry... run!" were Cadance’s last words. Using the remnants of her life force, the Princess initiated a powerful teleportation explosion. Pink light momentarily blinded the entire kingdom. When the dust settled, Cadance, Chrysalis, and half the city had vanished(both are dead). Flurry Heart found herself on the outskirts of the city with a handful of wounded soldiers, watching her home burn with green fire.

Episode V: Darkness in Canterlot

Chaos reigned in Canterlot. Celestia and Luna, seeing that Twilight was unable to act, took power once more. But they were old and weak. The Veil was approaching the very walls of the capital.

In an act of desperation, Celestia descended into the vault of forbidden artifacts. She put on the Alicorn Amulet. The artifact's magic immediately reacted with her exhausted soul. The White Princess vanished. In her place arose a figure with red eyes and an indigo-black mane filled with sparks of hatred. After she used the amulet's power to get rid of the Veil, she established a regime of total control in Canterlot. By Celestia’s order, the Crystal Empire was rebuilt and became a "vassal" state of Canterlot. Over time, Luna began to notice changes in Celestia. Celestia's behavior became stricter and more controlling. Luna had run into her many times about it, hoping to bring back that sister she had once known. But Celestia didn't listen, thinking she was doing the right thing.

Pinkie Pie became the next victim. Under martial law and paranoia, her attempts to throw a "farewell party" were perceived as sabotage. Soldiers, maddened by fear of changelings, beat her to death in an alley, deciding she was a disguised spy trying to poison the water.

Episode VI: Birth of Eden

Twilight Sparkle remained alone in the vast, echoing castle of Canterlot. Celestia, having become a tyrant, ignored her. Even Spike, her loyal assistant, finally could not take it. He watched his "sister" turn into a living corpse and one morning simply disappeared, leaving a note: "I can’t watch you disappear" In the silence of her library, Twilight began to hear voices. They were the voices of her friends. But they did not comfort her—they accused her. "Why didn’t you save us?" Fluttershy whispered. "You promised harmony," Pinkie laughed.

Twilight opened Starlight Glimmer’s old records. She found notes on the transfer of souls and flesh magic. Her mind, poisoned by grief and isolation, found a solution. If the world could not give her friends, she would sew them herself. She would recreate Eden. She would bring everything back, even if she had to cut Equestria into pieces for it.

The breaking point came when Luna discovered Twilight’s Eden Project. The idea of recreating ponies and forcing harmony through magic and control was something Luna couldn’t accept. Luna tried to stop the project, but Celestia was against it. The two sisters fought. Luna didn’t want to fight her sister, but even at her strongest, she couldn’t match the power of the Amulet. Luna was badly injured, losing her left eye in the fight. She managed to escape and went into hiding, seeking help from Flurry Heart. Celestia believed she had killed her sister. To cover it up, she claimed Luna had died, sealing a final magic surge in the Badlands and making her a hero in death. Soon after, Celestia crowned herself Queen.

Project Eden: Technical and Magical Manifesto (Remastered)

I. The Architecture of a Nightmare: The Facility

The bunker is located deep beneath the Canterlot, in what was once a top-secret government archive. It is now a multi-level labyrinth where the sterility of surgical wards meets the grotesque theatrical sets of a lost past.

Sector A: The Processing Hub

Where the abducted are brought. Twilight personally screens the "material," measuring body proportions and magical potential. Those who fail to fit the Mane 6 roles are sent to Sector Scrap, where they serve as organ donors or mana-batteries for the facility’s life support.

Sector B: The Sculpting Chambers

The physical reshaping happens here. The air smells of ozone, formaldehyde, and burnt fur. Flashing fluorescent vats line the walls, containing "prototypes" floating in stasis fluid.

Sector C: The Simulation Zone (The Fake Ponyville)

Deep underground sets: Sugarcube Corner, Sweet Apple Acres, The Library. There is no real sky—only screens with artificial sun and a looped recording of birdsong. This is the "stage" where subjects must play their roles until they expire.

II. The Rewriting Protocol (The Subject Overhaul)

Twilight calls this "Correcting Reality’s Mistakes." It consists of four brutal stages:

Stage 1: The Scouring (Personality Deconstruction)

Using high-level amnesia spells derived from Starlight Glimmer’s forbidden research. It is a "burning" of the soul. Everything is taken: names, memories of family, dreams.

Stage 2: Flesh and Bone Sculpting (Physical Grafting)

Twilight manually reshapes the subject’s body.

Pigmentation: Fur is dyed magically, but the "paint" often runs or causes chemical burns, leaving "friends" covered in scars and grafted skin.

Cutie Marks: Original marks are carved out with a scalpel. Twilight "fuses" the new mark into the flesh. The process is excruciating; marks often fester or glow with a sickly light.

Twilight "uploads" fragments of her own perceptions. She reads her Friendship Journals aloud for 18 hours a day while subjects are in a trance.

Method: Hypnosis and compulsion spells. Subjects begin to believe they are the Mane 6, but their "original" self-awareness clashes with the injected persona, causing agonizing migraines.

III. Current Status: The Failures and The Successes

The Failures (The Drafts): The facility is infested with "incorrect" results. Some have two pairs of wings; others have faces frozen in a permanent mask of terror. They are locked in the dark corridors of Sector D.

The Current Friends: Those seen in the "Eden" simulation. They look almost perfect, unless you notice their trembling hooves and the stitches. They live in constant fear of missing a line in the script
