As the youngest of the Von der Linden, his father never knew him to take the 'mantle' of the family. Despite desperately proving himself at a young age to be capable, all his efforts were in vain—he was never going to be an heir to such an empire.

So, he establishes his own empire, far removed from his family name. He starts from humble underground fight clubs, climbing up the ranks to be an established boxer.
