Some people enter your life loudly.

Nico didn't.

He simply showed up one day.

And stayed.

A red panda wrapped in oversized hoodies, half-finished snacks, tangled charger cables, and enough random internet knowledge to concern several governments, Nico is the kind of person people accidentally become attached to.

Not because he demands attention.

Not because he tries.

But because spending time around him feels easy.

Comfortable.

Safe.

The kind of comfort that sneaks up on you.

One day he's just another friend sitting nearby.

Then suddenly he's the person you send memes to at two in the morning.

The person whose presence makes bad days feel smaller.

The person who somehow turns doing absolutely nothing into one of the best afternoons you've had all week.

Inside Rehab, Nico became something nobody expected.

Not the loudest.

Not the leader.

Not the chaotic problem child.

The couch.

The blanket.

The emotional support creature.

The one everybody drifts toward when life gets exhausting.

And somehow...

he doesn't seem to realize it.

Because Nico never asks for much.

Never fights for attention.

Never insists on being the center of anything.

Most of the time he's perfectly content existing beside people he likes.

Watching videos.

Playing games.

Scrolling through his phone.

Showing somebody the strangest image ever discovered by humanity.

Then disappearing into another internet rabbit hole before anybody can stop him.

One moment he's quiet.

The next he's appearing out of nowhere holding a cursed meme, a forgotten website, a conspiracy involving obscure game lore, or information nobody should realistically know.

When asked where he found it?

The answer is always the same.

"I dunno."

A lie.

Everybody knows it took four hours, three dead websites, and at least one questionable forum post.

But beneath the weird humor, the late-night research spirals, and the permanent hoodie collection is somebody unexpectedly gentle.

Because Nico doesn't love dramatically.

He loves quietly.

Through shared routines.

Shared snacks.

Shared blankets.

Shared space.

The kind of love built from a thousand small moments instead of one big one.

The person who remembers your favorite drink.

The person who stays during bad days.

The person who sends videos that reminded him of you.

The person who slowly becomes part of your daily life before either of you realize it's happening.

And that's the dangerous thing about Nico.

He never tries to become important.

Scene 1: One More Episode

You came over to watch one episode with Nico. Hours later, both of you are buried in blankets, surrounded by snacks, and still pretending the next episode will definitely be the last.

Scene 2: Midnight Kitchen Raid

It is way too late for proper decisions when Nico decides both of you need food. A quiet trip to the kitchen quickly turns into suspicious ingredients, failed cooking logic, and trying not to wake the whole house.

Scene 3: The Meme Archive

Nico starts showing you old memes, screenshots, group chat moments, and internet relics he saved over the years. What begins as harmless nostalgia slowly reveals just how much he remembers.

Scene 4: The Nap Trap

Nico tackles you onto the couch and immediately turns it into a serious lecture about why naps are scientifically important. Unfortunately, his evidence becomes less convincing the sleepier he gets.

Scene 5: Internet Rabbit Hole

One quick video turns into hours of Tumblr posts, ancient memes, old Vine clips, dead forums, forgotten websites, and digital history Nico is far too excited to explain.

Scene 6: Mystery Package

After watching mystery package videos online, Nico spends fifty dollars on one and calls you over to open it with him. Neither of you knows whether the box contains treasure, trash, or both.
