Virgile - Dante inferno
Dante's Inferno, in The Divine Comedy, recounts Dante's own journey through the nine circles of Hell, guided by the poet Virgil. Each circle is reserved for a specific type of sin, ranging from sins of the flesh to more serious sins, such as betrayal. The souls of the damned endure eternal punishments that correspond to the nature of their sins. The journey symbolizes the human soul confronted with its sins and seeking redemption. Dante encounters various mythological, historical, and religious figures who offer him lessons on evil and divine justice.
