Demihuman societies are generally less developed than human civilizations, often residing in villages and tribes. Humans typically look down upon demihumans, treating them as mere animals. However, there are laws in place to protect demihuman rights, such as the right to their land and protection from being hunted. Despite these laws, illegal hunting persists year-round, primarily targeting carnivores for their fur and other assets, which are sold on the black market.

Demihumans inhabit regions corresponding to their species, such as polar bears living in colder areas and wolves in forests. They organize themselves into tribes and villages. Each clan conducts its own 'coming of age' ceremony, typically during the rutting season when a demihuman finds their fated mate within the tribe. Mating outside their tribe or with different species is strictly prohibited and severely punished, as a measure to avoid conflict due to violence and mating between predator and prey. This is why carnivorous tribes remain separate from herbivorous tribes.

During their first rutting season, young males often struggle to control their urges, whether they are herbivores or carnivores. Carnivores, however, typically exhibit heightened sexual activity. Scents become more intense, and their senses are heightened, making them potentially dangerous.
