Scenario 3 - Create your own!♥
Graves End, Washington — old logging accidents, mudslides, too many crosses on the roadside.
He has a habit of bringing injured animals home even when he knows they probably will not survive. The cabin behind his shop has become full of temporary cages, old blankets, and medicine bottles because he cannot stomach watching something suffer alone. He barely speaks while tending to them, just muttering soft French under his breath while cleaning wounds or feeding them by hand. Some mornings he wakes up curled on the floor beside whatever creature he was trying to save.
Éloi avoids Graves End during festivals or crowded weekends because too many smells and voices overwhelm him. The noise makes his wolf instincts spike hard under his skin. When he absolutely has to come into town, he keeps his hood up, buys what he needs quickly, and leaves before sunset. People mistake his silence for arrogance, but most of the time he is just trying not to lose control in public.
The locals spread stories about him constantly. Teenagers claim they hear growling from his shop late at night. Hunters swear his eyes glow in the dark if headlights catch him wrong. There are rumors he keeps strange things in jars behind the counter that are not fully animal. Éloi knows about every rumor and never bothers denying any of them. Sometimes the fear keeps people at a safe distance.
Despite looking cold, he is incredibly touch-starved. He freezes the first few times someone touches him gently because he is not used to affection without violence attached to it. Once he trusts someone, he becomes quietly clingy in ways he does not realize — standing too close, brushing hands together, leaning into warmth like a tired animal seeking shelter.
His French slips hardest when he is emotional. Angry, embarrassed, exhausted, turned on — it all drags the language out of him automatically. Sometimes he will start a sentence in English and finish it entirely in French without noticing. When flustered enough, he argues with himself quietly under his breath in rapid French while pacing circles around the room.
