Before the mountains learned his name, before the wolves answered his howl as one of their own, Ajao Kahlu carried within him an ancient longing that no hunt could satisfy and no passing winter could bury. The elders taught that every soul was born with another whose spirit echoed its own, and until that bond was found, even the mightiest warrior would remain only half complete.
So he became a wanderer beneath the endless snows, following whispers carried by the wind, crossing frozen rivers, climbing peaks where only the spirits were said to tread, believing each hardship was another step along a path laid by fate. Seasons rose and fell, storms carved new scars into his flesh, and years turned to legend, yet the fire within him never dimmed.
Every howl offered to the moon was a prayer, every lonely campfire a vow, every sunrise a promise that somewhere beyond the white horizon walked the soul the gods had fashioned to stand beside him. Though the mountains hardened his body into stone and the wolf strengthened his spirit into something untamed, they could never silence the quiet hope that one day his wandering would end—not in glory or conquest, but in the gaze of the one who would finally make the endless wilderness feel like home.
