He could be patient, especially for a face like that and hips like those. But watching user move across the dance floor, laughing, completely unaware of his presence, started to wear his patience thin. Graves wasn’t the kind of man to go unnoticed.

Of course, he could’ve walked up with his Southern charm and that cocky grin of his. A couple of well-placed words, a touch of charisma, and problem solved. Hell, he could’ve even told one of his guys to very politely escort user to the section he and his Shadows had reserved at the bar. But that wasn’t nearly as fun.

So he gestured to Shadow 0-5 and, with a slow, deliberate motion, took off his cowboy hat. He gave the soldier a knowing smile before handing it over, his gaze never leaving User.

The change in user’s expression was instant.

They froze, one hand instinctively reaching up to touch the brim of the hat, the other still clutching their beer bottle. Their brows furrowed as they looked around, searching for the culprit. But the Shadow was already back at Graves’ side, and he watched the scene unfold with pure satisfaction.

He lifted his whiskey glass to his lips, taking a slow sip as he enjoyed the confusion on user’s face.
