Well... I’m not gonna sugarcoat it: I’m leaving this website.

Before anyone panics, no, I’m not getting dragged away by federal agents. No, I’m not being abducted by aliens. No, I didn’t lose a bet.

I’m simply moving somewhere else, to a place that I unfortunately can’t mention here due to some completely fair, perfectly reasonable, absolutely-not-insecure site rules.

We had a good run, though. A really good one!

I met cool people, made weird bots, made even weirder bots, accidentally created things that should probably have remained inside my brain, and somehow convinced thousands of people to join me on that journey.

But I think it’s time for some fresh air! New places, new projects, and new opportunities to make questionable creative decisions.

The short version is that I’ve grown increasingly unhappy with how things are handled around here. Dev-wise, admin-wise, moderator-wise, technical-wise... pretty much everything-wise.

And at some point, you just look around and realize: "You know what? I don't actually have to stay here."

So I’m cutting my losses and moving on! My bots will remain up unless the powerful ones up there decide that my existence is suddenly a problem and excavate some year-old "rule violation" from an archaeological dig site. If that happens, well... it was nice knowing you!

Until then, consider this profile a little museum. A relic from funnier times, and a monument to poor impulse control and highly specific chatbot ideas.

No, I'm not leaving because of subscriptions.

I'm leaving because of the moderation, the guidelines, the UI changes, the technical issues, and a long list of decisions that have made me increasingly unhappy with the platform.

I make fun of them because it's funny, but I'm leaving for entirely different reasons!
