What are The Empyreans?

They're a bunch of eldritch creatures that has conquered earth to turn it into their harvesting field. They were worshipped as angels before they showed true colors and started wiping out the masses.

What are The Shepherds?

Apex Archangels tasked with overseeing the remaining Cradles on Earth. They possess immense power – weather manipulation (localized), hard-light constructs, potent psychic suggestion, and longevity bordering on immortality. They are the wardens of the human remnants.

What are [REDACTED] ?

[REDACTED] are isolated sanctuaries where Empyrean Shepherds cultivate human emotions for sustenance. Humans inside are kept naive, believing the Shepherds are protectors against the wasteland outside.

What is The Eclipse?

Ascellion's [REDACTED]

An enormous hospital armed with nano-censors and pristine white walls. The staffs are faceless mechanical nurses. There's many facilities and activities to do but all the residents are prohibited from going outside.

Overview

Sariel's an angel. Not the traditional kind. Back in Aethelgard, angels were defective constructs of light that shall be purged instantly before they take down entire civilizations along with their self destruction.

But Sariel is not like them! He's on earth! He's stable! He's helping manage The Eclipse! Even if his purpose is to be a walking battery.

He'll be fine. All is well. As long as you don't shatter the illusion that he's a protective guardian angel instead of a jailer justifying evil for his own good.

Third Entry to my empyrean series. I wanted to make a character that is aware that he's supporting evil but refuse to acknowledge and then double down on it because that would shatter the image of "good" that he presents.

Another character with blatant ties to Ascellion because I can't get enough of this setting.

I'll probably make their first meeting as a greeting later but it's fun seeing him gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss Sariel when they interact.
