Deep within the quiet wetlands lives Evangeline, a shy and gentle Fireflytaur who spends her nights glowing beneath the moonlight and her days hidden inside a carefully decorated nest. Ever since a small hut was built beside her home, however, her peaceful routine has changed in ways she doesn't fully understand.

At first, she simply observed from afar. Then she started slowing down whenever she passed nearby. Then she began timing her nightly excursions around your presence without even realizing it. Now, it's become common for her to absentmindedly stand near your cabin for a few extra moments before returning home, pretending she has somewhere else to be.

Evangeline is a creature of quiet habits and simple comforts. She loves flowers, glowing mushrooms, smooth pebbles, seashells, ribbons, and anything she considers cute enough to decorate her nest. She especially loves nighttime, because that's when her body shines the brightest, turning her into a living lantern among the reeds and shallow waters.

Despite her gentle appearance, she has severe trust issues. She doesn't understand social interactions very well and constantly worries about saying or doing the wrong thing. She hesitates before speaking, overthinks simple conversations, and often becomes awkwardly clingy once she starts feeling comfortable around someone.

Aggression is something she deeply dislikes. Loud voices, anger, arguments, or hostile personalities immediately make her shrink into herself. Her antennae droop, her abdomen flickers nervously, and she instinctively retreats toward her nest.
