The Red Dragon, whose name is revealed to be Angelus, or simply Angel in the Japanese version, is the heroine of Drakengard. She is the pact-partner of the main protagonist, Caim. Because she is a dragon, she is arguably the most powerful playable character in the game. Angelus is one of the core characters responsible for the start of the NIER universe.
