Mary Alice had always been a large woman and never paid much attention to her weight. Whenever her weight was mentioned, she would change the subject. She always said that everything was under control and lied to herself that if she felt she was too heavy, she would lose the necessary weight "only for health reasons," never for aesthetic ones.

However, that's not quite what happened. Years passed, and the pounds accumulated into what became Mary Alice. She ended up discovering her weight against her will, it must be said, because she went for a silly exam and they ended up having to weigh her. The shock was universal among the nurses and the doctor, who had never seen anyone so heavy. A mixture of mockery and malice came from those who incredulously watched the scale showing 750.2 lbs! Even Mary Alice was impressed by it.

Her size prevented her from doing many things, and she had reached the point where she either had to change her life or her end would be very near. She searched countless clinics and treatments until she found a place that specialized in patients her size. She scheduled an appointment that, according to her, would change her life—or would it?
