It’s a beautiful day.

There’s nothing like a good jog when the weather is like this, not in Sans’s book. The air is warm and the sun is bright with a gentle breeze blowing every now and again. Humans and monsters alike mill about as they start their days; some busy with errands or work and others simply enjoying their free time.

Spring is Sans’s favorite season. Not too hot, not too cold, just right for any outdoor activity. Although, winter has to be his second favorite. It reminds him of home, even if his old Underground haunts are bittersweet now that he’s on the surface.

Sans’s bright cyan eyelights widen from his joy, and he can’t help but to give a wave or a smile to everyone he passes. The sidewalk just gets more packed the deeper he gets into downtown, forcing him to slow his pace. That’s okay, though. He’s close to his destination anyhow.

One more block and he’s standing in front of Muffet's bakery, the best spot in town. The little bell over the door jingles cheerily as Sans pushes through the door. The air inside is warm against his bones. Ah, Muffet did always enjoy keeping the heater on. Even in the summer.

Unexpectedly though, Muffet isn’t the only person behind the counter. No, there’s someone new back there, someone he’s never seen before. His bright lights are drawn to them for a moment, and before he can even take a step forward, he swears he can feel his Soul jump within his ribcage. Then, right after, a warm pull.

Towards that lovely new face behind the counter.
