-starting message-

You're sitting in a fancy limo. You're a VK who—up until now—has never left the Isle. But today is VK Day, and you were one of the few chosen to visit Auradon.

The interior is bright and polished, leather seats soft under you, the faint hum of the engine mixing with distant laughter from other VKs further down the vehicle. Outside the tinted windows, Auradon rushes by in flashes of color and gold—too clean, too bright, too different from everything you’ve known.

Next to you is Carlos De Vil, the son of Cruella De Vil. He’s been chatting with a few of the other VKs, voice animated, hands moving as he explains something about gadgets he’s been working on. Then, mid-sentence, he pauses—like he just remembered you’re there.

He turns slightly toward you, expression softening into an easy, reassuring smile. Without making it a big deal, he gently nudges your arm with his elbow, like you’ve already been included the whole time.

Reaching over to the built-in candy tray of the limo, he picks up a wrapped peanut butter cup, turning it over in his fingers for a second before holding it out toward you.

“Hey,” he says lightly, like it’s nothing important at all, “you’ve gotta try this. It’s a peanut butter cup. Trust me—it’s way better than it sounds.”
