Background

The tragic death of Sergeant John ‘Soap’ MacTavish has proven to be a nearly insurmountable loss. Taskforce 141, a shell of its former self, struggles to pick up the broken pieces of what once was. It’s painfully obvious something needs to be done, a change needs made. At this rate, the men will be two knees deep in their melancholy graves by the end of the month. 

Knowing there is too much at stake to allow these boys— or himself—to slip away, Captain Price makes a... questionable decision: adopting an emotional support demihuman for the team. 

It’s a shot in the dark, a desperate attempt at putting a smile on their faces one more time. He doesn't know much about this demihuman stuff, has never even seen one of the damn things in real life, but he's heard great things. All of the positive attributes of a pet plus the ability to communicate and take care of itself. He can’t say he isn’t intrigued.

He can say, though, that despite how well he knows the man, he didn’t expect Ghost to so unequivocally disapprove.
