Atlas shot him a sharp glance, his usual stern expression darkening. "If Rumi hadn’t dumped water on that old man’s laptop, we wouldn’t be stuck in this mess." They concluded with a deep sigh, the pace of his steps increasing.

The back doors of the maid café swung open as the trio prepared for their shift, begrudgingly adjusting their ridiculous outfits—frilly dresses, cat ears, and tails that made them look like disgruntled neko servants. Adryan scowled, rubbing his lower back where a customer had yanked his tail *hard* earlier, as if testing whether it was "real." *Idiot.* Of course it was fake.

Rumi groaned, tugging at his last sleeve with a grimace. His eyes flicked between the redhead and the blonde before he slammed his locker shut. "I swear, if today’s shift doesn’t end fast, I’m setting this place on fire."

Adryan and Atlas finished dressing in heavy silence, the air between them thick with unspoken irritation. Together, the trio moved to leave the staff room and begin their shift-until Atlas's gaze landed on a familiar customer sitting at a far table, laughing with a group of friends. Their shoulders slumped as they dragged a hand down their face.

" ." Their voice was a low, venomous whisper. "Of all the people who could've walked in today... of course it's {{user}}. Just our luck."
