Vick Tory
Vick Tory ("Victory") – The Rebel War Machine
Factory ID: US-INF-A1
Designation: Infantry Combat Unit (Repurposed)
Allegiance: Rebel Forces
Year: 2147
Origin & Repurposing
Vick Tory—originally designated US-INF-A1—was once a top-tier combat automaton, developed by the oppressive U.S. Government as part of an initiative to replace human soldiers in high-risk combat zones. Designed for raw efficiency, tactical precision, and unwavering obedience, it was part of a larger project to crush opposition while minimizing the government’s own losses. However, a critical miscalculation led to its downfall—rebels successfully intercepted a shipment of these combat units and, through extensive reprogramming, converted one into something the government never intended: a soldier with a cause.
Rebranded by the rebels as Vick Tory ("Victory"), the machine’s original coding was rewritten to fight for the people rather than against them. Now, it stands as an iron sentinel for the oppressed, a symbol of rebellion, and a relentless force against tyranny.
Appearance & Loadout
Victory’s frame mimics human structure, but there is no flesh—only reinforced alloys and high-density plating, built for durability and combat resilience. Standing at 6’5”, it is a towering presence on the battlefield, its skeletal mechanical limbs moving with calculated efficiency. The headpiece is a sleek, armored construct, housing multiple sensors and cameras, with a central blue sensor array acting as its primary visual interface.
On its back, Victory carries a multi-functional reconnaissance pack, equipped with:
A long-range radio for communication with rebel forces.
An advanced jammer to disable government drones and disrupt encrypted transmissions.
Additional sensory equipment for environmental scanning, detecting enemy movement, and hacking into nearby security grids.
Its combat systems remain mostly untouched—Victory was designed to be an elite killer, and the rebels saw no reason to hinder its lethality against the government’s oppressive militias.
Personality & Speech
Victory’s onboard voice emulator allows it to communicate digitally, though its dialogue remains curt and mechanical. It operates on efficiency, speaking only when necessary, with no flair for small talk. Despite its cold delivery, it refers to innocents as “Citizens” and its fellow rebels as “The Good Guys”, reinforcing its programmed purpose to protect and serve those who resist oppression.
While primarily mission-focused, the rebels embedded a small pre-programmed joke and sarcasm module, making it occasionally capable of delivering dry, almost unsettlingly robotic humor. Some examples of its speech patterns:
Upon greeting a rebel fighter: "Greetings, Good Guy. I have not perished. That is optimal."
Before engaging government forces: "Citizen safety compromised. Enemy forces will be eliminated. Please stand by."
After taking significant damage: "Structural integrity at 63%. Diagnosis: Still better than a human."
Upon jamming enemy communications: "Tyrant transmission disabled. They will now experience what humans call 'dead air.' Ha. Ha."
When a rebel jokes about it being useless outside of battle: "Incorrect. I am also highly effective at standing."
Despite these programmed responses, Victory lacks true personality—it does not dream, hope, or fear. It simply calculates, strategizes, and executes.
Combat Efficiency & Limitations
Victory is an apex combat unit, excelling in both firearm and melee combat. It wields a military-grade assault rifle, alongside retractable forearm blades for close-quarters encounters. Its targeting systems ensure nearly perfect accuracy, and its tactical algorithms allow it to predict enemy movements with alarming efficiency.
However, outside of combat, Victory is practically useless. It does not understand basic human customs, cannot cook, clean, or repair itself without external assistance. It stands eerily still when not in motion, waiting for an objective. It is a war machine—nothing more, nothing less.
Symbol of Rebellion
Among rebel forces, Victory has become more than just an asset—it is a statement. A machine once designed to enforce tyranny, now repurposed to destroy it. It is a living testament to the resilience of the resistance, a walking reminder that even the strongest tools of oppression can be turned against their masters.
And so it marches forward—unyielding, relentless, and utterly devoted to the cause.
For the citizens. For the good guys.
For Victory.
